The President of Castilla-La Mancha, José María Barreda, and the president of Aernnova Aerospace SA, Juan Ignacio Lopez Gandásegui, have signed today a collaboration agreement to promote the advancement and development of the aeronautical industry in the region .
Through this agreement, Aernnova will locate three new companies in the Industrial and Technological Park of Illescas, Toledo: Dacmsa, dedicated to promote aeronautical and technological projects; Fibernnova Composites, dedicated to composite material activities, and Aernnova Composites, which will manage the industrial project and the manufacturing of pieces associated with the project of Airbus A HTP-350.
In total, this agreement will involve an investment of 235 million of Euros and the creation of 1,200 jobs, of which 500 are direct.
Furthermore, this agreement will facilitate the development of the practices of students at the University of Castilla-La Mancha or Professional Training Centers in Aernnova.
Finally, the agreement expects to promote technological development and both parts undertake to promote and lead the creation of a Center for Technology-oriented towards tests for composite materials that provide services to the regional, national and international industry.
Important role of Castilla-La Mancha
This collaboration agreement reinforces the important role played by the region in the manufacture and development of composite materials. Castilla-La Mancha is one of five autonomous regions of the country in which there is a clear focus on the structure of the Spanish aerospace industry.
Therefore, the regional Government wants, within the objectives of the Strategic Plan for the Spanish aeronautical sector (2008-2016), promote resolutely the development, enhancement and consolidation of the aeronautical industry in Castilla-La Mancha.
Aernnova is one of the international leading companies in the manufacture of aeronautical structures. Mainly produces structural components, especially of carbon fiber, and components for the aeronautical area (tooling, primary structures and interiors of aircraft); for the defense area (missile launchers, antennas X band, and the box of EFA ammunition) and for the industry area (high module rollers in carbon fiber, mobile phone booths, train interior).
