
Aernnova, along 2006, increased its participation in the VI European Framework Programme. At this point, that year meant the beginning of 3 new projects: ADVICE (autonomous damage detection and vibrations control system), NICETRIP (tilrotor wing design) and CESAR (aircrafts design metodologies, operational loads) complementing the current projects as COCOMAT (aeronautical structures stability), TATEM (damages detection) and FRIENDCOPTER (noise reduction in the helicopters' interior) and ARTIMA (smart structures), this last project leaded by AERNNOVA.
In Spain, AERNNOVA has carried on with its research line in the composite materials area, participating in TODO COMPUESTO (CDTI) and RIGPAN (IMADE), smart structures (Madrid regional Government) and discontinuity analysis (AERODISC) and weldings (PROAVION) (Bask Government).
In 2006 AERNNOVA was granted with three new patents related to different aspects of aeronautical structures Design and manufacturing Processes (Panels Joint Elements, a process for the Manufacturing of Composite Material Structures and winglets Leading Edge Manufacturing Procedures).
Nowadays AERNNOVA participation in the VII EU-Framework is being negotiated with EU. AERNNOVA's particiaption in this project is focused in requirements definition and technology validation.
