Sharing Experiences and Building Together

Recently, the ACI team had the opportunity to welcome Andre Wall to our facilities for a day marked by the exchange of experiences, mutual understanding, and, above all, a strong team spirit.
The day began with an introduction of the members of ACI’s Executive Committee, followed by a presentation on the company and its main activities. A particularly appreciated moment was the opportunity to get to know one another on a more personal level: each member of the Executive Committee introduced themselves with two slides, combining professional information with some personal details. This simple exercise helped foster a sense of closeness.
Next, we took a tour of the facilities, visiting the entire workshop, the warehouse, and the offices. During the tour, we were able to see firsthand how the production areas are organized and share different perspectives on our work methods.
Best Practices and Opportunities for Improvement
Among the highlights of the visit was the organization of certain areas of the plant, particularly the cleanroom, which features a tidy environment and very clear visual management. Planning, maintenance metrics, and monitoring of production plan compliance provide a quick and effective overview of the status of operations.
At the same time, the visit helped identify other areas with room for improvement. In this regard, various initiatives have already been launched as part of ACI 2.0, aimed at continuing to advance efficiency and optimize our processes.
One of the main areas of focus is the optimization of layouts and production flows, as well as the management of the movement of parts and tooling. Efforts are also underway to restore past productivity levels, while maintaining a focus on training and onboarding new hires.
Another challenge identified relates to optimizing work-in-progress (WIP) inventories and procurement, seeking an appropriate balance between production needs and efficient resource management.
Finally, the challenge posed by unwanted turnover among MOD and MOI staff was brought to the table—an issue that is particularly relevant in an environment with high demand for professionals and due to the proximity of Airbus.
A cohesive team facing challenges
Beyond the processes and metrics, one of the most positive takeaways from the event was the sense of a very cohesive Executive Committee, with a strong spirit of teamwork and a clear commitment to tackling challenges together.
The visit provided an opportunity to share experiences, identify best practices, and, above all, create a space for open dialogue in which we could discuss both our achievements and the areas where we still have room for improvement.
