AERNNOVA FINALIZES THE GRECO PROJECT

During the last year, Internacional de Composites S.A. has developed the GRECO Project with the aim of increase its technological capabilities in terms of innovative technologies, increasing the involvement of Aernnova in research and development projects, promoting and driving the development of new technological capabilities.

The objective of this proposal was the development of new dry fiber preform manufacturing techniques, the automation of the piled up process and the cutting process of preforms patterns, improving in this way the cutting of complex geometries. This development positions Aernnova on the vanguard compared to the competitors of the sector. Besides, these kinds of developments bring advantages to the aerospace industry:

  • To reduce the time needed to manufacture dry fiber preforms.
  • Resource optimization.
  • Automation and robustness of the process.

This Project has been co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla La Mancha through the program “Innova-Adelante”.
